Successful completion of the online Bakersfield Foodservice Management Program will allow your business to apply for a $5,000 or $10,000 grant through the City of Bakersfield Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Technical Assistance and Grant Program.

The Bakersfield Foodservice Management Program is offered in partnership with the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield and CSUB Extended Education.

SBDC director, Kelly Bearden and NaTesha Johnson, Program Director for the Entrepreneurship and Workforce Development at Kern Community College District and Bakersfield College Launchpad discuss the nuts and bolts of this newly opened grant program. It is designed to assist local businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and will provide technical assistance and capital for entrepreneurs, startup businesses, and small businesses that are income-qualified or located within qualifying census tracts of the City of Bakersfield.
 
Qualifying clients may be eligible for grants of $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, or $40,000. Grant funding may be used for payroll and benefits, utilities, mortgage or rent payments, license or permit fees, expansion costs, operating expenses, and more.
