Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden discusses details of the $35 million California Dream Fund Program that will provide micro grants up to $10,000 to seed entrepreneurship and small business creation in California. Areas of the fund’s focus will be child care, service and cottage food, green technology, retail and manufacturing.

A program of the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development [GO-Biz], the Central California SBDC Regional network was recently selected among a handful of other organizations to work with clients. The CSU Bakersfield SBDC is one of six service centers within the regional network that will actively work with clients.

Other webinar topics include details of Kern County’s upcoming micro grant program for small businesses, updated information on the U.S. Treasury Department’s State Small Business Credit Initiative [SSBCI] to help small businesses in disadvantaged communities, and more.

This marks the 98th in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners.
