On this week’s free webinar, SBDC director Kelly Bearden will be joined by Jim Damian, Kern County Chief Economic Development Officer and Aaron Falk, President and CEO of Kern Community Foundation to discuss local resources available to help Kern River Valley residents and businesses impacted by the Borel wildfire. 
 
Damian will provide details on where to find information on obtaining support, and how this fire impacts economic development efforts within Kern County.  
 
Falk will discuss how people can give or get help, and phases of recovery and philanthropy.  
 
Bearden will begin the webinar with a look at the Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster process for businesses, homeowners, renters, and others, along with relevant data learned from the Erskine Fire, Ridgecrest Earthquake and other recent disasters.  
 
Questions from attendees will be taken.
