In this week’s free webinar, SBDC director Kelly Bearden will take an in-depth look at the state of small business based on feedback from hundreds of business owners served by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield in Kern, Inyo, and Mono counties over the last year, in addition to other resources.

Topics will include opportunities and challenges for small businesses, consumer and business trends, avenues to access capital, and a review of recent economic and political disruption to provide insight on potential impacts to industry and business in 2025.

The hour-long webinar will begin with Kari Crutcher, executive director of the Ridgecrest Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Kari will briefly discuss the California Contracting, Acquisition, and Procurement (CCAP) Industry Days Expo on Feb. 4 to 5 in Ridgecrest. The two-day event will provide long-range acquisition forecasts over the next three fiscal years that will give opportunities for small businesses to contract with the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD) at China Lake and Point Mugu.

Questions from attendees will be taken.

This marks the 333rd episode of the “Webinar Wednesday” business series that provides news and information helpful to employers and business owners.
