Help for small business in two new SBA grant programs focus of SBDC webinar April 28

The Economic Injury Loan grant program’s new $5 billion “Supplemental Targeted Advance” and details on the new $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund are among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.  

SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will discuss changes to the EIDL program including the new “Supplemental Targeted Advance” announced by the Small Business Administration April 23. The $5 billion in grants will be issued to small businesses hardest hit by the pandemic.  

Bearden will also cover details of the new $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund [RRF] soon to open. In addition to restaurants, the grant program is open to bakeries, bars, brewpubs and a variety many other food and beverage businesses who may be able to receive up to $10 million in funds equal to their pandemic-related lost revenue.

Other topics include updates on the 2021 Paycheck Protection Program, SBA Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program, California Relief Grant, Targeted EIDL Advance, the Bakersfield ReStart Loan-to-Grant Program and more.  

Questions from attendees will be taken.
