A mid-year HR update to help employers protect their businesses, and a detailed look at federal and state laws governing wage theft and overtime issues, are among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden is joined by Celeste Young-Ramos, CEO of the Restaurant Success Center and seasoned owner, manager and advisor of restaurants and other businesses. Young-Ramos provides a mid-year HR update on labor laws governing workplace rules and regulations, and also discusses what businesses and franchisees can learn from two recent cases that involve state and federal violations of wage and overtime issues.
Kelly begins the webinar with a look at an increase in business bankruptcy filings and resources to support struggling businesses. This marks the 293rd episode of the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” business series that provides news and information helpful to employers and business owners.
