Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

Available resources and relief options to help Kern River Valley residents and businesses impacted by the Borel wildfire is the topic of this week’s free webinar, when SBDC director Kelly Bearden is joined by Jim Damian, Kern County Chief Economic Development Officer and Aaron Falk, President and CEO of Kern Community Foundation.

Damian provides details on where to find information on obtaining support, and how this fire impacts economic development efforts within Kern County.

Falk discusses how people can give or get help, and the phases of recovery and philanthropy.

Bearden begins the webinar with a look at the Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster process for businesses, homeowners, renters, and others, along with relevant data learned from the Erskine Fire, Ridgecrest Earthquake and other recent disasters.

This marks the 324th episode of the “Webinar Wednesday” business series that provides news and information helpful to employers and business owners.

The CSU Bakersfield SBDC provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can sign up to meet with a consultant at no cost by clicking here!
